About the State : Punjab, the land of Five rivers is the richest state in India. The word Punjab is a combination of two Persian words 'Panj'(five) and 'Aab'(water). The five rivers flowing here are Beas, Sutlej, Ravi, Chenab, Jhelum. Punjab is also known as the Food Basket and Granary of India. It has a long history and rich cultural heritage.
