Spectacular Beaches of Goa

Renowned worldwide for its spectacular beaches, Goa in the west coast of India is a holidaymaker's paradise. The 125 kilometers of Goan coastline is dotted with numerous palm-fringed sandy beaches which offer the perfect destination for a romantic honeymoon or an ideal vacation.

Anjuna Beach
Anjuna is a small village in North Goa and the beach is approximately situated 18 km away from Panaji, the capital of Goa.It is one of the most popular beach in Goa. The beauty of the white waves rushing to embrace the pale golden sand on the beach can be witnessed in full form.
Baga Beach 
Nestled between the popular Colva and Calangute beaches, Baga beach Goa is one of Goa’ s more restrained beaches. Baga remains an unspoiled natural gem with white sand and lapping ocean waves framed perfectly by the rustling palm trees around the beach
Bagmalo Beach 
  It is situated near the port city of Vasco. It is a broad, open and flat beach.is fringed with coconut palms. One can also locate a number of fishing villages scattered around the beach. The tourists can also see a number of shipwrecks at this site
Benaulim Beach
  A very quiet beach in South Goa on the shores of Arabian Sea. It is situated 41 Kms from Panaji. The best thing about Benaulim beach is that it is still rather undiscovered by domestic tourists even though it is a famous beach for fishing. You can lie on the sand, soak in the sun and just relax. 
Calangute Beach 
  A north Goan beach, Calangute is situated on the shores of Arabian sea, just 15 kms from Panjim, the capital. Called the 'Queen of Beaches' Calangute is encircled by Arpora-Nagoa, Saligao and Candolim. Enjoy the eternal beauty of the beach under the shades of palm trees while enjoying the fresh seafood.
Colva Beach
  The Colva Beach lies about 6 Kms to the west of Margao and is the oldest, largest and the most spectacular beaches of South Goa. The beach consists of about 25kms of the fine powdered white sand and is bounded along its coast by coconut palms that stretch from Bogmalo in the north to Cabo de Rama in the south along south Goa's coastline.
Dona Paula Beach
  Associated with a romantic myth, it is one of the hottest tourist spot in Goa. People throng the Dona Paula beach not only to enjoy the sun and the sea but also to indulge in water sports on the clear waters. You can have a sunbath and buy cheap seaside goods from local vendors. The most important attraction here being the water sports facility, the Dona Paula Sports Club offers water-scooter, cycle, and motorboat rides. Other water sports include windsurfing, parasailing, water-skiing, toboggan ski-biscuit, skibob, sports fishing, snorkelling, harpoon fishing, kayaking, and yachting.
Majorda Beach 
Majorda beach is a popular beach of Goa situated in the southern part of Bagmola. It is located at a distance of 4 km from Margao and 5 km from the Colva Beach. Majorda beach comprises long lanes of palm grove trees and its clear water comes from the Arabian Sea.The beach is famous for its bread and bakers. Vagator Beach 
The Vagator beach located near Mapusa Road, North Goa and 22 km far from the state capital Panaji is less crowded and isolated compared to other Goan beaches. It boasts of pure white sand, doted with black lava rocks and swaying coconut and palm trees and lies within the backdrop of the 500-year-old Portuguese Fort and takes the visitors down the memory lane depicting the Old Portuguese era.
Sinquerim Beach
  Sinquerim beach is very popular with westerners and is home to several monuments and a coastal fort, the most talked about being the Aguada Fort. A walk on the silken shore is exhilarating. The cerulean waters and the azure sky form a vivid impression in the minds and hearts of visitors. Water sports, beach resorts and eateries make the stay and visit at the beach worth it.
Arambol Beach
  The Arambol Beach located 50 kms from Panaji is a pristine and secluded beach in the North Goa and can be approached by a winding road through the groove of cashew trees. It is a rocky as well as sandy beach and has a fresh water lagoon which extends along the bottom of the valley into a thick jungle The lake is fed by boiling hot springs and is lined with sulphurous mud which people love applying on their body to do wonders to their skin. 
 Varca Beach 
  The Varca beach is much quieter than the other more famous beaches in Goa. The palms and the long houses dotted near the beach make for a splendid spot ideal for a quiet and relaxed vacation. Though not among the most favored beaches in Goa, Varca beach offers you amazing scenic beauty that will remain etched in your memories for a long time. 
Palolem Beach 
  This southern beach is the equivalent of the northern beach Candolim in terms of popularity, vibrancy etc. Palolem beach indeed offers the best of both the worlds and is one beach where both the recluse and the maverick can feel at ease in their own comfort zones. Dolphin and fishing trips, Kayaking, Wind sailing are the major activities undertaken here.
Agonda Beach
  The rocky mountain on the southern tip of the beach with its promontory jutting into the Arabian sea is a hypnotic sight and gives the imagery of land meeting the azure sky.The Saint Annes Church for the parishioners of Agonda is located bang on the beach and serves as a divine ornamentation to the beach and its ambience.
